Bellver Castle is one of the main places to see in Mallorca and it is really worth dedicating some time to its visit.

Built as a fortress and royal residence, the Bellver Castle is a remarkable construction with a circular floor plan that offers an exciting journey through the history of Mallorca through its facilities.

The emblematic castle has an unusual appearance thanks to its circular floor plan surrounded by semicircular towers. Inside, semicircular arches and ribbed vaults offer a setting of Gothic and medieval style in which it is easy to imagine great events and pompous royal celebrations.

From the central parade ground there is access to the different rooms where the material was stored and where the service personnel stayed, while those on the upper floor were dedicated to the rooms of the royal family.

Unfortunately, the current state of the rooms is very different from their original state, since no pieces of the original furniture are preserved and traces of the old colors that once decorated the noble rooms have disappeared over time.

The best part of the castle is found on the upper terrace, from where unrivaled views of the bay of Palma and the dense pine forest that surrounds the fortification are obtained.
